Hi there, I'm Bonita Jane!

My journey from the spotlight of modeling in New York to becoming a wedding and portrait photographer in Minnesota embodies a unique blend of education, creativity and experience. After years of traveling and working as a model, I transitioned from a life in front of a camera to life behind one. In 2010, I moved home and began to pursue a degree in art, at the University of Minnesota. It was there where I developed a love of photography, beginning with film photography.

My background has helped to bring a unique perspective to my work, allowing me to guide subjects through their wedding or portrait session with ease. I draw inspiration from light, unscripted moments, and details! My photographic style incorporates elements of fine art, documentary story-telling, and editorial photography, promising a collection of images you'll treasure.

With over a decade and a half of experience capturing weddings, engagements, families, and pets, I continue to be inspired by your distinctive stories. My work has graced galleries such as Praxis and University of Minnesota and I hold a B.A. in Art and a minor in design.

When I'm not photographing someone or something, I enjoy walking my dogs. I LOVE animals of all kinds! I also enjoy cooking, reading and watching movies! My husband and I are currently renovating our old Victorian home, which was built in 1895.
