Hi, I'm Bonita Jane. I am a former model,who grew up in Minnesota, and moved to New York, after graduating from high school. Years later, I returned to Minnesota to be closer to my family, and at that time I decided to pursue a degree in art. In college, I picked up a camera and developed a love for photography. Now, I never feel more comfortable than when I am behind a camera but my experience in front of the camera, as a model, has proven to be very helpful in guiding my clients through poses and helping them to feel more confident. When photographing a wedding, I look for details and unscripted moments that tell your story. I am inspired by light, movement, and color and my style is a combination of classic and editorial. I have been working as a photographer shooting weddings, families, and pets, for about ten years and my film work has been exhibited at the Praxis Gallery in Minneapolis and the University of Minnesota. I have a B.A. in Art and a minor in Design from the University of Minnesota.

On an individual note, when I am not photographing someone, or something, I enjoy walking my dogs, baking, and working, with my husband, on renovating our old Victorian house! I LOVE animals of all kinds. I look forward to working with you on capturing some amazing memories of your wedding or creating the perfect photos to reinforce your brand image!
