Madeline and Alec, are mental health warriors, dog owners, newlyweds, and all around amazing people. Their November wedding was on an unusually warm day. With the weather being so warm, they were able to get married in the gorgeous @VanDusen courtyard. Madeline has the best smile and watching her and Alec together was so heartwarming.

I’ve told people this before, but for some reason I have always had a fascination with veils. When I was a little girl, I would pretend to be a “bride” and put a bedspead on my head as my veil. Lol. This post is not my usual type of post. I’ve had a month to think, yet still understand nothing and maybe everything. To my photo buddy- grief is a strange thing, sometimes it can’t be felt, then suddenly there are moments when one is anxious, or bursting into tears. AB, we agreed on everything and nothing, we fought, we laughed, we walked, we drove, we talked, we were quiet. You were my best friend but your demons, they were my worst enemy and your worst enemy. I knew you would lose the battle but I wasn’t sure when. I relive your last week and still have so many questions. Either way, the pattern likely would not have changed, so here I am, and where are you? It’s spring, and the warm weather you loved will soon be here. Miles will miss you, I will miss you, many will miss you.. rest easy AB. I hope you are finally truly at peace. You must have been so tired. Patrick and Jen’s wedding was everything I imagined it would be after photographing their engagement.
